English-language writers are unique in the world in many ways, one of which is that they like to write lists of rules of writing.
Everyone from Stephen King to Ernest Hemingway did it, and it’s not a modern phenomenon – in the English language, books about how to write go back to the 19th century.
I’ve collected some of these lists and am presenting them with my commentary in 2-minute videos on Twitter (and re-posting them on YouTube) for your interest and discussion.
Writing is a sacred task – if you are employed in it, I salute you.
Keep it up and I wish you all the success in the world.
